Admission records, including haemoglobin measurements, for 29,226 children admitted to a paediatric ward in a rural Kenyan hospital for the period 2002-2009

Abstract

This dataset presents the results of a standard set of laboratory tests performed on an unselected population of children (<15 years old) who were admitted to Kilifi County Hospital in rural Kenya between January 2002 and September 2009. The KEMRI-Wellcome Trust Research Programme has operated routine surveillance in this hospital since 1989, ensuring all children are assessed by a clinician and their data is directly entered into a computarised database. The dataset consists of one .csv file. There are 31 columns for 31 measured parameters.
