Abstract:	We read with great interest the recent publication by Gabbani et al. reporting their assessment of the severity of liver fibrosis in patients with chronic hepatitis C using 1H NMR spectroscopy [1]. However, we would like to comment on the design of the study, the analysis of the data and the interpretation and reporting of the results.
