Abstract: Tunable-wavelength diode-pumped Alexandrite laser operation includes highest power > 26W (end-pumped rod); > 12W (side-pumped slab); and first Q-switched operation with pulse energy ~ 1mJ at kHz repetition rate, as development for space lidar application.
