Abstract
This presentation introduces Digital Double, a digital representation of human being with capability to interact with the world on behalf, and proposes two interlinked frameworks for understanding their development and impact.
Existing frameworks often focus on technical capabilities or intelligence, neglecting the intersection of personalized AI and its human and societal consequences. Our Capability Framework categorizes digital doubles by technical capabilities across five levels (0-4), defined by Representation, Agency, Action Capability, Data Sources, and Cognitive Ability. The Impact Framework offers human-centric perspectives (Augmented Self, Perceived Self, Predictive Self). The contribution lies in the integrated application of these frameworks, revealing how technical sophistication shapes the human experience of digital doubles. Using Speculative Design, we explore framework interplay, identifying benefits and risks of specific technical level/human perspective combinations.
