Abstract
Cosmology aims at obtaining a physical description of the Universe including its global dynamics and content. Having a standard cosmological model provides a good framework to do that. In this framework, we aim to measure cosmological parameters (the parameters of the model) and to develop a fundamental understanding of them.We also want to understand the origin and evolution of cosmic structure and to probe the physics of the early Universe. Typical energies of the early universe were very high: the physics of the early Universe had deep links with fundamental particle physics.
