Abstract
The Imperial College Patient Experience Research Centre (PERC) and the TRICORDER-PLUS research team facilitated two online discussion sessions (with a total of four breakout rooms) to gain the perspectives of the patients and public about the acceptability of using confidential data without consent in the context of the TRICORDER-PLUS study. Participants highlighted significant public-health benefits in the proposal and discussed important concerns around data security, transparency, and opt-out mechanisms. Their feedback has directly shaped our study design, particularly around patient communication, data governance, and risk mitigation, and has informed our CAG application.
