Abstract
The Virtual Earthquake Reconnaissance Team (VERT) is a sub-committee of the Learning from Earthquakes (LFE) Committee of the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI). The VERT Phase 1 report summarizes damage due to an earthquake on a variety of topics including hospitals, roads, geotechnical damage, lifelines, and fires following earthquakes.
