Abstract
Quality of Care improvement is necessary for effective patient safety. The significant impact of healthcare disruptions leading to mortality and morbidity that has arisen because of the ongoing 2019 SARS-CoV-2 pandemic has led to an unprecedented number of global reforms to improve the quality of healthcare and sustainability.
In this national case study, the Greek Agency for Quality Assurance in Health presents methods of achieving quality of care and patient safety that has international translation to low socioeconomic healthcare delivery systems. It discusses aspects of using quality metrics to monitor specific quality indicators and outcomes, collaborative networking, and emergency preparedness.
