Abstract
The teaching of statistics to students of the applied sciences and technology can pose problems other than those encountered by the academic reader. The application of the theory to everyday situations needs care, but under such circumstances much benefit is derived through this experience. In this project an attempt will be made to relate theory to practice for the purpose of teaching students at an elementary level. Using real-life situations many points of interest arise which cannot be treated by a purely theoretical approach.
