Abstract
Violence in the workplace is a significant global occupational and public health concern estimated to affect 95% of workers. Violence carries considerable risks for workers and medico-legal ramifications for organisations. Acts of violence can be both physical, non-physical and sexual. This brief communication by the European Federation of Nurses Association presents various best practice approaches across countries in the European diaspora used to address this issue, discussing strategies that have been adopted to prevent violence against nurses.
